Here is something I have learned, beautiful soul. Fear rarely shows up announcing itself. It is far too clever for that. Instead, it wears a disguise.
It looks like “I am just too busy right now.” It looks like “I will start when things settle down.” It sounds like a very reasonable roadblock, a sudden wave of doubt, a tidy list of excuses that all seem so logical. Often, the closer you get to something that truly matters, the louder these voices become. That is not a coincidence. Your ego is trying to keep you small and safe, whispering, I have got you, stay here, do not go that direction.
I say this with so much love. Complaints and excuses are often fear wrapped up in a beautiful little bow. They feel like protection, but quietly, they hand your power away.
So the next time you catch yourself too busy, too unready, too unsure, pause and ask gently, is this true, or is this fear in a costume? You do not have to force your way through it. You simply have to see it for what it is. Once...
